About the Studio

Small space, endless possibilities

This storage room turned recording studio takes the limitations of the physical space and uses them to foster a greater sense of musical intimacy and focus. Its low ceilings, warm lighting, and vintage aesthetic provide a comfortable yet functional environment to be creative and develop your musical ideas.

With a 24-channel multitrack interface, personal monitoring system, and wide selection of microphones, amplifiers, and effects, the studio offers a versatile and dynamic recording space for full bands and individual musicians alike.

Use our in-house instruments and effects, bring your own, or seamlessly combine both to meet the needs of any situation.

The Lighthouse Live Sessions

Intimate live performance videos

From seasoned local favorites to emerging talent from the Twin Ports music scene, The Lighthouse Live Sessions provides a platform for musical artists to showcase their craft in an authentic, stripped-down setting.

Latest Session

Steve Solkela showcases his unique brand of humor, charm, and pure musicianship in this installment of The Lighthouse Live Sessions.

Accompanied only by what he can fit onto his 7′ x 4′ piece of carpet or duct tape to one of his limbs, Steve performs a wide range of songs—from his upbeat, one-man band polka arrangements like ‘The Iron Range Rhapsody (Theme Song)’ and ‘No Obligations in the Sauna,’ to the visceral pop tune ‘Bear Trap Song,’ before concluding with a heartfelt ode to his roots in ‘I’m From Palo, Minnesota.’
